The Shepherds

November 24, 2017

Over the next few weeks our lovely Sparklers (2-4's) will be looking at the different characters that appear in the Nativity. This Sunday they are looking at the shepherds. The shepherds were minding their own business in a field working, doing what they do best. When suddenly an angel appeared in front of them. The angel told them not to be afraid that he had good news for them ‘Today in Bethlehem a Saviour has been born.’ This is just the most amazing news. The shepherds left what they were doing and went to find Jesus. There was no time to wait! then after they had seen the baby they went and told everyone they met. They told them about the Good News that was for everyone.

Maybe this is a challenge for us, who are we going to share the Good News with this Christmas? Do we have friends that we could invite to the Nativity on the 10th December or to the Carols by Candlelight on the 17th and 18th December? Lets shine the light of Jesus to everyone this Christmas, we can do this on our own or as families.

Family craft challenge:

Find as many bits and bobs from the recycling, and see if together you can make the shepherds from this weeks story. Take a photo and upload it to our facebook page or bring it in to show us at church.

looking forward to seeing you soon.

Blessings
