When I was younger my wrist was full of different bands from Christian festivals. I had WWJD (what would Jesus do) FROG (fully rely on God) and I had a PUSH wristband. It was all the rage within my youth group. I wouldn't wear them now, but I still think back to their meaning especially PUSH... pray until something happens. Every week in kids church we pray and I always say the same thing, you can pray no matter where you are not matter what you are doing, you can pray standing up or sitting down, you can pray when you are brushing your teeth! you don't have to be sat with your hands together and your eyes closed for prayer to work. Prayer is powerful.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
1 John 5:14
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
In the Summer I have the privilege of leading a kids' venue at New Wine. This year will be my 7th year and over the years I have seen the power of prayer on a huge scale. I have seen people healed through the prayer of children. I have seen lives changed through pictures given by children. Sometimes I can be too scared to pray for something because logic tells me that it should or could not happen. Often children don't think in this way, they persist in pray where others may have given up. I think this is something for us to hold onto.
I also love it when we wait on God in our children's groups. Children get pictures for each other as well as others in the Church. We have been able to share some of these with the congregation and it has been a lovely thing.
As a kids team we meet every Sunday morning to pray, if you ever have anything that you would like us to pray for email me firstname.lastname@example.org
